Position Title: Business Support Lead
Location: Qatar (Onshore)
Contract Type: 3-year secondment
Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-10 hours per day
Start Date: ASAP
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Business Support Lead to provide operational and administrative support to a major onshore project management team. The role focuses on ensuring effective implementation of project management processes, risk management, and lessons learned, while supporting project delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide business support to the Project Management Team, particularly in project management systems (PMS) and internal processes

Advise on and ensure compliance with risk management, lessons learned, and issue management processes

Track, review, and provide guidance on contractor procedures and compliance

Maintain and update risk registers, and communicate significant risks and issues through established management processes

Coordinate project gate reviews, PMS deliverables, and lessons learned documentation

Support development and implementation of project roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives

Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure accurate capture and application of project learnings

Assist in monitoring project performance and advising on improvements to processes and procedures
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sciences, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
Experience:
-
Minimum 8 years’ experience in administrative or business support roles, including at least 4 years in oil and gas projects

At least 1 year in a supervisory or acting role

Experience with project business functions such as gate reviews, risk management, and lessons learned

Proven ability to work within complex, multi-disciplinary project teams
Skills and Competencies:

Strong organisational and coordination skills, with ability to multitask and work under pressure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable across cultures and disciplines

Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant business applications

High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to influence and advise project teams on administrative and process matters
