Job Title: Head of Project Engineering (Offsites)
Location: Doha, Qatar
Contract Duration: 36 months

Work Schedule

• 8–10 hours per day
• 6 days per week
• 26 days per month
• 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Overview
An experienced Engineering Manager is required to support major oil & gas projects, with a strong focus on detailed engineering, multi-discipline coordination, and delivery within EPC environments. The role will play a key part in ensuring engineering excellence, safety in design, and effective collaboration across project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multi-discipline engineering activities across major projects
• Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout detailed engineering phases
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet safety, quality, and project requirements
• Apply risk-based decision-making approaches to engineering and project challenges
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in a lump sum environment
• Review and guide design for large process units and LNG facilities
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices
• Support field engineering activities where required
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all organisational levels
• Promote collaboration within diverse, multicultural project teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a science-related discipline

Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry
• Strong background in detailed engineering management on major projects
• Experience on LNG projects is highly desirable
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
• Proven experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and vendors

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong engineering leadership and multi-discipline coordination experience
• In-depth understanding of design safety and engineering best practices
• Experience with large process unit design
• Familiarity with EPC project delivery, particularly lump sum contracts
• Strong risk assessment and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
• Field engineering experience is an advantage
